No less than Secretary Joel Villanueva of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) distributed tool kits to over 200 graduates of technical vocational courses at Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT) and Cabarroguis National School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT).
Villanueva also handed over certificate of training to the scholar-graduates.
Some of the tool kits given include sewing machines, massage machines, hair styling tools, among others which are essential for the graduates to start their livelihood.
In his message, the secretary shared the success of some TESDA graduates who are now gainfully employed here and abroad. “This proves that there are good opportunities open for skilled workers,” he said.
He said that with the world-class skills and qualification that the TESDA graduates have acquired, it is now up to them to pursue their success considering the high demand for skilled workers, especially overseas.
He added that TESDA offers different scholarship programs which include Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), Private Education Student Fund Assistance Program (PESFA), Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB), and Training Trabaho Program.
